Formalin mixing bench

The MF4 can be mounted inside a ventilated cupboard, a table with integrated cupboard, or a standalone unit.

The mixing and filling device is used to mix and dissolve formalin and a buffer solution, with water according to an adjustable ratio. This is done in a reservoir of 7 litres which is mounted on a scale. After the correct dilution is reached, it is pumped over in buffer tank out of which the several tap points are supplied. The reservoir is continuously filled and as such possible idle time is history.

Concentration analyzer

The unit is equipped with an in line concentration analyzer. It registers the concentration and gives an alarm signal in case the value is out of the tolerance. The automatic mixing is then stopped and a manual intervention is needed.

The values of the measurements are saved in a log file which can be consulted at any time.

The major advantages for the pathology department include:

- increased safety. Because users do not have to continually carry new drums of diluted formalin around, the chance of spills and therefore the chance of increased formalin PPM values in the laboratory is much smaller.

- Labour savings: The logistics of distributing formalin to the various work stations is a thing of the past. Only the concentrated 40% formalin still has to be placed in the ventilated mixing unit.

- Logistics: Only 1 barrel of concentrated formalin instead of 10 barrels of diluted formalin. Only 10% storage space!

- Increased comfort: Always formalin from the tap without any worries!

- Independend size of container : All values can easily be changed in the software of the unit
